What to expect from the International Bartender Course
Over the years, we’ve turned over 70,000 students into exceptional bartenders thanks to our rigorous training. In just four weeks, you’ll get the equivalent of six months’ experience, covering 65+ cocktail recipes, countless techniques and even a few flair moves.
For the past 20 years, we’ve been reviewing and updating our course, keeping it in-line with current practices and upholding the high standards we’re known for. Our course is designed by five world-renowned bartending experts: Jane Keaw-Yod, Marian Beke, Tom Dyer, Gavin Wrigley, Bjorn Kjellberg, Ludovic Ducroq.
You might arrive at EBS alone, but you'll leave with new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. We organise a range of daytrips, weekend activities and parties to make sure you have the best time possible.
What will you learn
We believe you learn best by doing, not revising. So you’ll be spending most of your time behind our state-of-the-art bar stations crafting cocktails and taking part in activities. Get ready to learn 65+ exciting cocktail recipes and the techniques that go with them. You’ll master the classics from mojitos and mai tais to the bloody Mary, espresso martini and more. You’ll even get the chance to design your own cocktails in our mixology workshops and the lively cocktail competition. We’ll test your cocktail knowledge every day, so you’ll have plenty of time to practice (and taste!) them.
Forget everything you know about spirits – you’ll cover the history, production methods and uses for all kinds of spirits. So after the course, you can impress your customers (or just your mates) with your new, extensive knowledge.
Before you become a professional bartender, you have to learn all about alcohol laws. In this unit, we’ll cover age limits in different countries, units and measurements, responsible consumption and service techniques.
