Most of our students choose to stay with us, as it’s the best way to get to know your coursemates and get the full EBS experience. But if you’d rather stay somewhere else, you’re welcome to arrange your own accommodation.
Flights are not included in the course price. To get cheaper flights we advise you to look at departures from major airports and to use comparison websites. Consider taking connecting flights as they often work out cheaper.
As an EBS graduate of our International Bartender Course (4 weeks) and Advanced Bartending course (10 days), you have free access to EBS MatchStaff after the course, and for the rest of your professional career.
EBS MatchStaff allows you to apply for job opportunities around the world. You'll be given access to EBS MatchStaff within about 7 days after graduating from your course. With your login details in hand, you can browse the latest selection of worldwide hospitality positions, wherever you may be. EBS MatchStaff is filled with industry-leading venues waiting for you to apply!
You can pay for your bartender course in 3 interest-free instalments. The course price is divided into 3 instalments:
- 1st payment is 20% of the full amount
- 2nd payment is 40 % of the full amount
- 3rd payment is 40% of the full amount
The payment due dates are calculated by the number of days remaining until the course begins.
The full balance of your course must reach us before the start date of your course.
Course requirements and languages
Most EBS schools require you to be 18 years old by the time you start your course. However, there are a few exceptions…
- At EBS Kos and EBS Phuket, you can take a course if you’re 17 years old, as long as you have written permission from your parent or guardian.
- If you’re taking a course at EBS New York, you need to be 21 years old by the time the course starts, as this is the legal drinking age in the USA.
- At EBS Miami, you can take the course if you’re 18 or over. However, the legal drinking age is still 21. So if you’re under 21, you won’t be able to join in with tastings or some of the school events.
We highly recommend that you have previous experience if you are going to take either the Advanced Bartending (10 days) or Advanced Flair (6 days). The only course which has requirements is the EBS Instructor Academy (3 weeks). To apply for this course you need to have at least 3 years of bartending experience, be fluent in English, both written and spoken and have exceptional social skills.
No, we also offer courses in many other languages depending on the availability of our world-class instructors. We only recommend taking a course in a language other than your own, if you have a Professional Working Proficiency in this language. Professional Working Proficiency is the level at which you can discuss a variety of topics with ease and understand the majority of what others are saying, this way you get the full EBS experience and won’t miss out on anything! To find out which languages you can study in and where, give EBS Care a ring and they’ll bring you up to date.
Course prices
The course price covers your industry-leading bartending education and study materials for the duration of your course. Most of our schools also arrange free activities for you to take part in.
You will need money for food and drinks at your destination. Some schools offer food packages so you can have your meals prepared and cooked for you at your destination, all for a great price.
The schools also arrange other activities for you to enjoy outside of school hours that incur a cost, it’s good to put some money aside for these as well.
Things you need to send and will receive from EBS
No, you don’t need to bring anything. You will get all of the necessary practical and theoretical equipment at your school for educational purposes. Equipment that will help you train outside of school hours can be purchased as part of the EBS merchandise.

Furthermore, if you’re travelling to an EBS school overseas, please provide us with your flight details. This way we can have everything ready for you upon arrival.
We’ll send you SMS alerts to convey important messages such as late payment reminders, student account updates or [in very rare cases] course changes. We may also send you SMS alerts about package upgrades, services at your destination, other courses, campaigns and offers. We strongly advise you to allow us to send you SMS alerts [they’re free to receive], if you would rather not receive SMS alerts, you can deactivate them in your student account.

EBS has a strict alcohol policy for both students and employees. As a bartender training organisation we take the consumption of alcohol and serving very seriously. Students engaged in any EBS related activity, at an EBS school, during school hours, must be in a fit condition to perform.
Arriving at school in an intoxicated state is unacceptable as it can put your fellow students and instructors in danger. If you are found to be in an intoxicated state you will be sent home and may be subject to our disciplinary policy. Any dangerous or irresponsible drinking during school hours will be severely punished. If you begin to act in a disorderly manner due to intoxication which consequently requires intervention by an EBS staff member or local official, you will subject to our violation protocols.
